This article in The Guardian reveals that the notorious "wet shirt" scene in the 1995 BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice has its very own 12-foot sculpture tribute. The statue is temporarily showcased in Hyde Park, London, and will tour the United Kingdom before settling in its final location in Lyme Park, Cheshire -- the very location where the scene was filmed!
Read more about the statue here at http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2013/jul/08/mr-darcy-statue-pride-and-prejudice. There is a beautiful gallery of photos online at the Telegraph showcasing fans of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice who gathered at Chatsworth House. Chatsworth held a special dinner recently to celebrate the 200th anniversary of P&P.

As Janine Barchas, one of the project leaders and an English professor at the University of Texas at Austin, stated, "It's the closest thing to time travel on the Web."
